According to what we know so far, Microsoft will be releasing the Windows 10 Creators Update this April. Earlier, Windows enthusiasts had observed several mentions of the name “version 1703” in build 14946. This led many to believe that this would be the final name of the upcoming release. But now Microsoft has changed the date of the release.

This is not the first time that Microsoft has changed version numbers in Insider Preview releases, the firm previously changed the Xbox’s Anniversary Update release number from 1607 to 1608 last year.

Update on March 21, 2017: Microsoft decided to use 1703 as the version number for Windows 10 Creators Update.

Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to bring a lot of changes to the stable branch of Windows 10. It is getting a new Game mode, a number of new features in Edge, Live Folders in the Start menu, new appearance options, a Clean Up PC feature and an updated Action Center pane.
